The subject of my blog today will be possible reunion of Oasis.
Today, October 21, Liam Gallagher (ex-Oasis frontman and currently Beady Eye frontman) told rolling stone magazine that he would consider an Oasis reunion for the 20th anniversary of Oasis second studio album ‘What’s the story, morning glory’.
This is the comment Liam posted on Twitter: ‘In 2015, if we can put out shit aside, we can tour and play the album in its entirety for the 20th anniversary. I’d be up for that, if it’s on our terms. There’s got to be two-way respect.’
My first reaction was: ‘Great! There is a chance that there will be an Oasis reunion’. But after a couple of moments I started thinking about Liam’s motivation.
Why is he saying this out of the blue? There was nobody who started a rumour of an Oasis reunion or any fans who asked for an Oasis reunion in 2015 for the 20th anniversary of ‘What’s the story, morning glory’.
Is Liam saying this because he is realizing Beady Eye isn’t as great as he expected it to be?
Is his lifestyle demanding lots of money and is he low on cash?
Or does he really want to play ‘What’s the story, morning glory’ again?
One thing is for sure, ‘What’s the story, morning glory is one of the two best Oasis records (together with ‘Definitely Maybe’) and when Oasis decides to play this record in full, I’ll be there without a doubt.
